In late 2013, a call with Detective Watson of the Reno Police Department occurred. The purpose of the call was to determine whether detective Pawlick was correct about the “lack of jurisdiction” claims that were made. As well, Judge Gerlach had recently claimed that Maricopa County had jurisdiction ON ALL MATTERS. Even the Reno incident. It was time to get this straight… once and for all!

In this call, Detective Watson confirms that only one incident occurred in Reno. This incident occurred on Easter of 2010. There were no others in the system. Just one. Therefore, Detective Pawlick was wrong and had closed an important case without considering relevant evidence.

Michael Shew Emails Detective Maldonado

On May 4th, 2020 Attorney Michael Shew emailed Detective Heather Maldonado about recent developments in his client’s ongoing case involving the Arizona CPS corruption scandal. While Governor Jan Brewer shut down CPS in 2014, the events that lead to its dissolution still continue. To this day, Arizona attorneys, judges, police officers, and ex-CPS workers continue to cause atrocities against our children and corrupt the legal system.

In the email, Michael Shew inquires about a hearing which occurred in August of 2019. He notes that the court hearing “did not go as we had hoped and my client has essentially been left without any remedy.” He recounts how the judge in charge of the case “basically ignored all of the evidence of alienation and denial of his parenting time by the mother and her husband.” Finally, he admits that this endeavor has been “one of the most frustrating experiences I have had practicing family law in 25 years.”

This is because the power that be have continued to protect themselves through nefarious methods. The system in place breeds and nurtures dishonesty, fraud, and nepotism. Unfortunately for Michael Shew’s client, this was simply a symptom of the intricate web of corruption. Corruption encouraged by a government gone haywire.

As a result, the children of Arizona have continued to suffer the consequences. As of now, there is no hope in sight. There is no justice. No assistance. No accountability. For now, there is only pain and suffering.

Detective Maldonado Recommends Speaking With the PSB

After emails between the father and Detective Maldonado, she confirms that the case appears to have been closed. Additionally, she seems to believe (at least according to court documents) that “no video interviews appear to have been conducted” with anyone. Finally, she does not seem to know what became of the video evidence submitted to Pawlick. Therefore, nothing had been entered in as official court evidence. Again, she appears to believe that the incidences took place in Reno.

She notes that should the father “have a complaint regarding the investigation conducted by Detective Pawlick,” the “Professional Standards Bureau (PSB) is your next stop.” However, it is important to note that a judge determined that the Reno police DID NOT have jurisdiction in the case. In fact, it turned out that the Arizona police department DID HAVE jurisdiction after all. Therefore, Pawlick was either flat out wrong or, worst yet, was suppressing evidence on purpose.

The Investigations Division

The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office is tasked with investigations of various types. After the recommendation to escalate the case to their Investigations Division, we found this information on their website. Each of their six Bureaus performs specific law enforcement related or investigative support functions for the office.

According to the Maricopa Country Attorney’s Office, the Professional Standards Bureau (or PSB) is “responsible for the investigation of internal and external complaints against all employees of the MCAO. In addition, members of PSB are responsible for conducting all pre-employment background investigations for MCAO. PSB oversees the Administrative Detective assignment, which handles all walk-in traffic to MCAO during normal work hours.”

About Saving Grace Advocates

Saving Grace Advocates is a child advocacy organization dedicated to exposing the corruption of the Arizona CPS and judicial system. Along with these corrupt organizations, our goal is to hold the guilty parties accountable for their actions and inactions. Consequently, this includes police, child care workers, lawyers, judges, and more.

We adamantly stand for the family! Additionally, we stand for the right to remain free from dysfunctional government interference. This same interference caused Governor Jan Brewer to finally shut down an entire government agency.

Ultimately, we preserve history to pay homage to the victims impacted by the Child Protective Service shutdown. It is our mission to ensure that the children of Arizona and beyond are properly protected. Additionally, we aim to help families who have been impacted. Finally, it’s our hope that they’re able to heal and that the perpetrators of these atrocities are brought to justice.

Help Us Fight the Good Fight

Costs to document this historical government tragedy have been excessive. However, they are far from over. Our personal expenses to fight the powers that continue to victimize our children and their families have exceeded over $1,000,000. They continue to grow by the day.

In order to save face, the state of Arizona continues to blame the victims of corruption. They do so at great damage to their reputations and credibility. Meanwhile, very few of the perpetrators in the Arizona CPS scandals have been held accountable.

Any contribution you can make to aid our cause is most appreciated. You can donate to Saving Grace Advocates using the link provided. Please help us fight Arizona CPS corruption and bring justice to the families and children who have suffered at their hands. Thank you for your continued support and contributions.

Sincerely,

Saving Grace Advocates
